David Culler, CEO and Co-Founder
David A. Culler, Jr., CAPT USN (ret) brings extensive leadership, experience and expertise due to his dynamic and very successful military career. Dave has been instrumental in leading large and complex organizations with exceptional results during both combat and non-combat operations. Commanding Officer of Strike Fighter Squadron 136 and the largest naval installation in the world, Naval Station Norfolk; Dave has led and managed people, missions, processes, and strategic assets at the highest levels with superlative results. Naval Station Norfolk was awarded the 2013 Installation Excellence Award for Navy under his leadership. He is committed to leading HAZON Solutions with the same dedication, energy and focus to ensure peak performance, productivity and delivery of the highest quality service and drone safety to our valued customers. Dave graduated from the University of New Mexico with a BA in Political Science and earned his Masters Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies at the Naval War College. He is a second generation Naval Aviator and is a graduate of Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN). Dave spends his free time with his family and flying. He is a commercial instrument rated pilot and FAA Part 107 Certified Remote Pilot. Dave was awarded the “Rookie of the Year” Jet class in 2015 and took 1st Place Silver at the Reno Air Races in 2015 and 2016.
Bill Hanrahan, Director of Operations
CDR Bill “Hammer” Hanrahan retired from the U.S. Navy with over 26 years of active service including six years as a Warrant Officer in the US Army bringing with him a diverse background in military aviation and leadership with an emphasis on Operations and Safety. He has flown 4,000 plus hours in a variety of aircraft, including the AH-1 Cobra, the F/A-18 Hornet and recently in a variety of civilian aircraft and rotorcraft. Before joining HAZON, Bill served as the Operations Officer for the Navy’s East Coast Master Jet Base where he managed 280 military and civilian personnel in the operations and maintenance of two airfields. He is a FAA licensed helicopter and fixed-wing pilot with an Airline Transport Pilot rating. He is also a FAA Part 107 Certified commercial UAV pilot, sensor operator, designated visual observer/safety observer from the Virginia Tech Mid-Atlantic Aviation Partnership test facility, qualified for operations on high voltage power-lines, wind farms, railroad bridges and telecommunication towers. He has a Bachelors of Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Professional Aeronautics. He has been married to his wife Lisa for more than 17 years and lives in Chesapeake, VA with his three children, Jacob, Andrew and Madison. He enjoys playing and watching sports with his children, camping, flying and riding motocross.
Mark McKenna, Chief Financial Officer
Mark has over 30 years of experience working with small to medium sized companies helping them implement policies and procedures to ensure proper financial reporting. He has extensive experience in new system development, implementing policies and procedures, and a solid background in manufacturing.
Recently, Mark was the Chief Financial Officer of Petersendean Roofing and Solar, one of the largest privately owned roofing and solar companies the United States, and Get My Boat, an Internet based boat peer to peer Rental Company. Mark was the Vice President of Finance and Accounting for Phacil Inc., a supplier of IT services to the Federal Government. He has over 20 years of experience with government contractors in the Washington DC capital region working for: DTI Associates, Delta Resources, and HFSI. Mark has a BS in Business Administration from the University of Colorado and a MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He furthered his studies in economics at New York University, is a Certified Public Accountant and currently resides in San Francisco with his wife Patricia.
Ed Hine, Vice President - BD & Marketing
Edward “Fungus” Hine is a veteran of the US Navy where he enjoyed an extremely dynamic 11 year Navy career focused on attack aviation including over 400 hours of combat experience as a Weapons Systems Officer (WSO) in the F/A-18F Super Hornet. During his time in the F/A-18 community Ed served as a maintenance division officer for Strike Fighter Squadron 103, the Jolly Rogers, and as the current operations officer at the second largest fighter squadron in the world, Strike Fighter Squadron 122 where he was responsible for scheduling assets worth more than $4 billion dollars. He left the aviation community to serve as a Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) and fire support officer with Navy Special Warfare. During his time working in the fast paced special operations world Ed distinguished himself as a combat proven controller, an exceptional leader and a relentless innovator. Ed is a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy, he is an FAA rated private pilot and is Part 107 certified. Ed and his wife live in Virginia Beach where he enjoys playing and watching sports with their boys and outdoor cooking with his wife.
